In 2011 Sopharma Business Towers opened doors and turned into exclusive project for Bulgaria with its high-tech A class buildings, which is the highest technological class, according to European and global clasiffications for commercial and office spaces. Sopharma Business Towers consists of two emblematic buildings for the city- 19 and 22- store towers, and a shopping center designed in its lower part as a green pedestrian street, connecting building A and building B, conference areas, dining area, and underground parking on two levels.

About the project
Behind its iconic architectural silhouette Sopharma Business Towers is a building with monolithic reinforced concrete structure with an element of the latest double-skin façade and electronically controlled blinds compliant with the movement of the sun. High-tech class A buildings are using the energy of the sun, wind, natural soil temperature and groundwater. The latest solutions in this direction are related to facades that generate head, window blinds that accumulate heat and give it to the building, as well as standard solar panels that cool or heat the building. In this direction technologies are introduced using the energy given off again by the users of the building. Technology and building automation save up to 50% of the used energy of every building.

Green rooftop
- The green roof acts as a filter. In the summer it lowers temperature and increases thermal insulation properties in the winter. This reduces building’s energy consumption and hence the carbon dioxide emissions.
- Thick roof surfaces absorb solar energy and radiate it back into the atmosphere.
- Green roofs hold rainwater in the plant and drainage layer, which subsequently evaporates. This reduces the amount of polluted rainwater. They increase biodiversity in the urban environment, helping to bind dust particals in the air and acts as a sound barrier.
